According to Cactus Kate Matthew Hooton has been in Wellington. That has not stopped him from posting a very thoughtful post on the growing scandal around Dr Cullen's refusing to allow Treasury to seek advice from MFAT over the implications of the proposed change to our overseas investment regulations for our international legal commitments. Matthew Hooton will be well aware of the importance of these obligations as he worked for some years in the office of the Minister for International Trade.
These regulations need urgent review after the election - whoever wins.
