Readers of The Hive will have noted the growing concern we have been expressing about Matthew Hooton's ideological soundness. These concerns have just grown when, on the way in to see the Rita Angus exhibition that closes today, we caught Hooton, his mother-in-law Sue Wood and one of Hooton's children loitering outside Icon at Te Papa this afternoon. What is happening at Te Papa you might ask? The Green Party campaign launch! Hooton looked most embarrassed to be caught out in this way.
A number of Green supporters also seemed a bit embarrassed by Queen Bee's praise for their decisions to drive their cars to their Party's campaign launch.
