Could It Get Worse For NZ First?

Now the Police have confirmed that they have begun an investigation. This from Stuff

Police have confirmed they will investigate allegations swirling around donations to NZ First and whether they should have been declared.
Following a complaint from ACT leader Rodney Hide, Police National Headquarters confirmed this afternoon police would investigate whether any offences had been committed under electoral laws requiring donations over $10,000 to be declared.
The investigation comes as NZ First faces trouble on numerous fronts – including a Serious Fraud Office investigation into donations to the previously unknown Spencer Trust and an inquiry by Parliament's privileges committee inquiry into what leader Winston Peters knew about a $100,000 donation from billionaire expat Owen Glenn.
The Monaco-based billionaire arrived in New Zealand this morning ahead of a showdown tomorrow with Mr Peters in front of the privileges committee.
Mr Glenn said little after his Air New Zealand flight from London.
"I am making a statement before the committee on Tuesday," he told Fairfax Media at Auckland airport.
Asked if he was planning to talk with Mr Peters before hand, he said: "I don't plan to."
