Stuff carries more detail on the delay between having the first information and reporting to Wellington. Looks like very poor judgement to us. Why MFAT can't just say sorry for the delay, we made a misjudgement, we don't know. This thing would then go away. Now this thing is going to get bigger. Maybe the new Claire Robinson will make a difference on such issues when she takes up the new job.
