The question for today is not "will the PM sack Winston?" That seems inevitable. The question should be "Will the PM rule out working with Winston Peters after the election?". That will remove NZ First and Winston Peters once and for all from the political landscape. It will mean that a vote for NZ First is a complete waste and that Winston will have zero influence over future policy. It will also mean that there is no point donating to NZ First any more.
Of course, if the PM doesn't rule out working with Winston after the election, then a vote for NZ First is a vote for Labour and a vote for Labour will be a vote for the possibility of more of Winston First in Government.
