WTO Services Negotiations

East Asia Forum has an interesting post and comment chain on the issues of the WTO services negotiations and on the importance of transparency - in the economic sense - the transparency around the costs of protection. The Tasman Transparency Group ran a good conference a year ago at the Lowy Institute. NZ was represented by the private sector and by Tim Groser. The Government chose to stay away. In contrast an Australian Minsiter spoke and there were about 10 DFAT people in the room.
