Great Firewall Of China

We missed an interesting article in today's Wall Street Journal on how Chinese language bloggers are getting around the Great Firewall. They have taken to writing backwards or typing in columns. The automated systems don't pick things up as easily when in non-standard forms it seems. This is a bit dumb as columns are common in Chinese (a traditional form of writing) and back to front is common also.

Chinese bloggers are, or course, writing in Chinese characters. But New Zealand bloggers in English might like to think creatively. Maybe similar tactics will work in English. Aside from writing backwards maybe some creative spellings might work - humin rites? T'bet?

At present we are back down to one reader in China. He/she reads every day from Beijing.
