Long asks what should the PM do short of standing down? he suggests the following:
- stop claiming that four identical polls are wrong;
- abandon the Electoral Finance Act for this election and promise a review of the electoral law by all parties next term;
- delay the emissions trading law to allow full consultation;
- acknowledge mistakes such as tax cut delay;
- vow to end nanny state interventions, even when demanded by the Greens.
Good suggestions Richard.
