Tibet

We have been meaning to do some writing on the situation in Tibet, to at least keep our dedicated reader in Beijing happy. But unfortunately NZ's political and economic challenges have taken up all our time. So we recommend that you have a read of The Inquiring Mind . "Adam" has a link to The Economist (some of you might have heard The Economist's correspondent interviewed on Radio NZ National this morning on what he witnessed in Tibet).

For the record The Hive is not totally negative about what China has done in Tibet since Deng Xiaoping 'liberated' the 'province' in the 1950s, but we would like to know more about what has really sparked these latest protests off.

We guess that the current instability means that the chance of signing the FTA with China in Lhasa are now zero.....
