The Hive reported some days ago that Defence Minister Phil Goff was going to have more troubles to explain from the armed forces. One of the lesser, but still serious problems has today been made public on the front page of the Dominion Post with an article quoting from an internal memo which says the Navy faces "the very real probability" that its ships will be stranded at port because of an exodus of specialists. The Hive hopes the measures proposed to correct this problem are successful. The problem demonstrates again how serious the skills shortage is across the economy.
