Iowa Results: Advantage to Obama And Huckabee

Democrats
With 96% percent of precincts reporting, Obama has taken the lead with 38%, Edwards is fighting out second place with Clinton - but it is looking like Edwards for second place. Indeed ABC and CNN and Fox call an Obama victory.

There are currently 12 votes between second and third place, 12 very important votes for Senator Clinton. She won't mind second place, but third will hurt!

Republicans
With 85 percent of precincts reporting, Huckabee had the support of 34 percent of voters, compared to 25 percent for Mitt Romney. McCain had moved ahead of Fred Thompson for a while but Thompson is now back in third. They have 14 and 13% respectively. Paul was on 10%. Giuliani who initially was looking OK had dropped back and had but 4% support.

CNN is calling a Huckabee win. So is ABC.
