Farrar And Drury Party While Queen Bee Toils

Queen Bee has left the National Party Christmas drinks to bring you news about Hugh Logan and the discussion at the Ministerial Advisory Group on Trade Policy which met this afternoon. Phil O'Reilly moved straight from drinking with Phil Goff to drinks with the Nats so this is hot off the press. Goff seemed upbeat about China and the Gulf Cooperation Council, but was downbeat on the WTO and the rest. He got a hard time for negotiating free trade deals with muslim countries from the wine industry and some strong serves about a need for New Zealand to do more work on the relationship between the Kyoto Protocol and the WTO. Industry and NGOs want New Zealand to take a lead role on this at Bali.
