Tracy Watkins of the Dominion Post is reporting that "Northland doctor Ian Brown will be installed as Crown monitor on the board of Capital and Coast Health under a rescue package due to be announced by the government today.
Dr Brown will be appointed to oversee the district health board, which has been plagued by controversy, staff morale and accusations of bungled care in recent weeks.
The government is also expected to announce later today that board chairwoman Judith Aitken will be sacked, to be replaced by Television New Zealand chairman Sir John Anderson."
