Winston Sleeps Through Briefings
Interesting article on page A4 of today's Sunday Star Times which has Don Brash recalling that when Peters was Treasurer and Brash was Governor of the Reserve Bank Peters used to sleep through briefing sessions. Peters, of course, denies this which is interesting as this is a well known Peters habit, the result of frequent late night/not so early morning outings to bars/nightclubs. We are not sure whether Winston's hours have become more normal in recent years, but we do recall him falling asleep and snoring loudly during the speech by the Chinese Premier at a state banquet in Wellington. We were only a few feet from Peters. That was only a year or so ago. If only the average NZ First voter knew what they were voting for.
