If Technology Can Solve The Problem Why Risk The Crippling Of The Economy

We have just got around to The Herald and read Brian Fallow's interesting piece on the IEA estimate of what it will cost to halve global emissions. OK the price is high, but at least technology offers a realistic opportunity to make a difference (unlike the chances of China and India joining a global cap and trade system). And as Fallow notes, one person's cost is another's opportunity. So why do we continue to waste time on the ETS when technology can get us to where we want to go???
