What Is It About MPs From Dunedin And Political Interference?

As we have been reporting for some weeks the 9th floor have become increasingly concerned about David Parker's performance. In yet another blow to the Government he is being accused again by former Electricity Commission Chairman Roy Hemmingway of interfering. See the attached press release from National's Gerry Brownlie. Will Parker last to the election? Will he stand again?

This incident raises further concerns about the role being played and the independence of the Electricity Commission. The Hive's view is that the Commission should be abolished and its functions devolved to the Commerce Commission.
