Is Public Opinion Set In Against The Government?

Many observers we have been speaking to over the past two months suggest that answer is yes, particularly in Auckland. They suggest that the electorate there has decided they want change and there is not much the Government can do to turn things around, and there is not much chance that John Key can muck things up. The electorate is much more tolerant about Key's performance than it is about the Government's performance. Alarmingly for the Government Trans Tasman yesterday suggested that these analysts are right and that opinion may be locked in.
