In today's Dominion Post (article not up on website yet) Chris Trotter analyses the factional split within Labour and suggests that if the Party would indeed fall apart if Phil Goff became leader (as one senior party official suggested to him) then Labour is in much bigger trouble than he thought. He suggests that Labour has turned itself into a monarchy led by Helen Augusta. He thinks parties of the left should not allow this to happen "No organisation grows stronger by ceding its most important decision making responsibilities to a single individual.
