The was a loser - Mitt Romney. And there were four winners - Clinton, Obama, McCain and Huckabee.
McCain is the clear front runner but he didn't close things off. He won the key contests tonight, but the size of his win was spoilt a little by the Huckabee revival.
Huckabee did much better than expected. He can't make it to the Presidential nomination, but he is now a serious contender for the Vice Presidency. Would he be worse than Dick Cheney?
Romney was expected to to do better. He is pretty much finished. He had to win California, but didn't.
Clinton won the big ones, and still has the delegates lead. She consolidated her key support bases - women and latinos. She did better than we thought she might.
Obama really needed to win Massachusetts, New Jersey and California but didn't but he won Missouri and a number of other tough contests. He still has momentum. He has consolidated with blacks (a former Clinton support baase) and is growing support with white males.
The result for the Republicans is seemingly inevitable, but the race remains wide open for the Democrats.
Super Tuesday was super interesting, as is the wider race. We await the next rounds with great interest.
