Even The Greens Are Now Bemoaning Political Interference

Following the excellent opinion piece by New Zealand's most influential and respected lobbyist Barrie Saunders there has been increasing talk around Wellington about the problem and possible solutions. It is interesting to read that the Greens are feeling that they have fallen victim to politicisation. The Green strategy to bring the economy to its knees rests around two policy tracks - to stop any further improvements in the roading infrastructure by channeling all funding into public transport projects; and by rendering the key agriculture sector non-competitive - dairy. Emissions trading and effluent run off policy are seen as the keys to the destruction of dairy.

It is therefore a great concern to Green co-leader Russel Norman that negative comments about the environmental impact of dairy were censored from the State of the Environment report released earlier this month to coincide with Helen Clark's speech in which sustainability was such an important part.

What interests us is how Russel Norman knows what was in the original version that was censored?
