Urgent Change To Immigration Rules Needed

The Dominion Post rightly draws attention to the only obvious short term fix to our labour and skills shortages - immigration. We agree fully. Why is the seasonal worker scheme restricted to only a couple of sectors? Why do we have quotas on our working holiday schemes? Why have we restricted the number of places that backpackers can work while holidaying here? And why are we not more proactively targetting new immigrants from places that have plenty of people with the skills we need?
