Big Lead For National In ONE News Colmar Brunton Poll

National could rule by itself according to the February ONE News Colmar Brunton poll. National has 53% to Labour's 34%. The Greens would make it back on 6%. Most alarming for Labour is the sight of lapdog Winston's party on 1.7% and John Key well ahead in the preferred PM stakes. Here is a link to Guyon Espiner's analysis.

This is very different from the most recent Morgan poll. Interestingly, the factors that Morgan cited as reasons for a rally around the flag effect in its poll are being interpreted as negative for Labour by Colmar Brunton (international financial stability and loss of confidence in the economy).
