We have been finding it rather curiouss that the two people outside of Government who really understand trade policy are both extremely positive about the just signed FTA. They also say it is a very good deal. Neither would be saying this unless they believed it was true - remember the comments made by one on the Thailand FTA?
But Winston thinks this deal is not good enough, he has even higher standards than the trade policy establishment. We see some uses for this ideological purity - just what the WTO Round needs. Helen should offer the job that is about to come up in Geneva to Winston.
