Anyone watching tv news last night would think that China is being brain washed and that no information is coming out on what is going on in Tibet. Nothing could be further from the truth. Have a read of these comments from the Chinese media on CNN, on fabricated Victim Lists and on the Dalai Lama. Almost as balanced as the reporting in New Zealand!!
We are particularly pleased that China has followed the advice of The Hive and begun publishing Op-Eds on Tibet's history. Unfortunately these need a bit of work, if they are to have the desired impact.....

Meanwhile, some also coveted parts of the country such as Tibet, which had long been an inalienable part of Chinese territory and part of the multinational Chinese family. Thus the so-called issue of "Tibet independence" is originally an outcome of aggression by imperialist nations..."
The irony is that the issue remains an issue driven by the same imperialist nations, but run in particular by those who are the most ideologically anti-imperialist!! Unfortunately the style used in this op-ed is not really going to fly in the West, so the hypocrisy of some of those pushing the Tibet issue at this time may not be exposed in the Dom Post etc. China really needs help.....
