Secrecy Of Decision Making Process

Dr Cullen says we will have to wait a few days to see documents and advice relating to Cabinet's decision to change the rules around a Canadian bid to buy a stake in Auckland Airport. This is going to be a fascinating read. We particularly like the line about Parker and Cosgrove being excluded from the Cabinet discussion. We hear that pretty much the whole Cabinet was excluded and that this was a decisions made at the very top. One business leader has been joking that the reason why the new regulation is so badly drafted is that it was written on the back of an envelope over a couple of glasses of Chardonnay. We look forward to the release of these papers to see what really happened.
