"Green" Party Home Truths

Jeanette Fitzsimons, a true Green was deeply upset when Russel Norman beat Nandor in the race to become Co-Leader. She saw this choice as a lurch to the far left. We agree with Jeanette. A frog in a blender isn't the only thing green that goes red at a flick of a switch. Turn of the microphone and Russel Norman is as deep red as they come. The "Green" Party is just a vehicle for political power. It will be interesting to see what happens when Laila Harré sets up her new party on the left. Which way will Norman go? Or will Norman be inviting Harré into the "Green" Party once Jeanette retires?
