Government And Peters Feel Heat Over FTA Criticism

According to the Dominion Post Winston Peters has backed down on threats to criticise the FTA with China while overseas. This is a step in the right direction, but a step too little. He should make the same assurance about criticism within New Zealand. The Government is coming under huge pressure now that the differences over the China FTA have highlighted to New Zealand and the world the absurdity of Winston Peters' position as Foreign Minister in name only. The position is looking increasingly untenable. Watch this space. As the pressure mounts increasing thought will be given to finding a face saving way out of this mess. Isn't there some other bauble available for Winston?
