This blog was dedicated to the monitoring of latest developments in Central, Regional and Local politics from its base in New Zealand's capital city, Wellington. The blog was run by a team with unique insights into latest developments. The Hive was not politically aligned, but did support policy that was best for the growth of business and the economy. Given the obvious interest from our readership The Hive from time to time delved into the politics of other countries or regions.

The Polls Must Be Wrong
John Armstrong writes today in the NZ Herald on the PM's apparent denial of the big gap between Labour and National in all the opinion polls. He suggests that Clark's King Canute act is not a good look, but suggests that we wait for the next Herald DigiPoll and the TV3 Poll. He suggests that Labour will be in real trouble if they also show Labour at around the 30% support level. Armstrong admits that the Roy Morgan poll was pretty accurate last election.
